You have up to four months (before your exam date) to access the site from anywhere and anytime. What are the ON-SITE Tutorials and 1-Day Seminars?
Each ExPS™ ON-SITE Tutorial is a three-hour exam prep session with excellent review notes, study tips and exam preparation assistance provided along with advice on how to best use our ON-LINE Services. Tutorials are offered in all communities designated as PPE exam centres as well as a number of others and include a pre-Tutorial package.

Each ExPS™ ON-SITE 1-Day Seminar is a ten-hour course in Ethics and Law with excellent review notes, study tips and exam preparation assistance provided along with advice on how to best use our ON-LINE Services. 1-Day Seminars are scheduled in six communities with additional Seminars arranged at companies, for special groups, and in new locations. They include pre-Seminar and post-Seminar packages.

What time, study and practice commitments are required?
With our easily accessible Exam Questions and Practice Exams you can focus on recent exams, types of questions or topics - all of them essentially ‘on demand.’ With our Study Questions (True or False, Multiple Choice and Short Answer questions) you are able to check on your understanding and pinpoint possible areas to focus on. ExPS™ Personal Profile keeps a record of your questions, answers and progress. You can work at your own pace and review as often as you wish.
Our unique Personal Study Guide allows you to spend more time learning and less time researching so your time is more productive. The Definitions section and the Review Cards section enable you to concentrate on your learning and overall comprehension.
The convenience of ExPS™ and our excellent resources allow you to maximize your review time - day or night, morning or afternoon, week day or weekend, work day or holiday, any number of hours - for up to four months.
We recommend that you purchase the suggested textbooks from us - new or used. As you read them you may wish to prepare your own study notes. We will guide you through the important topics and point you to the most frequently asked exam questions with Memory Aids and Summary Notes based on the Act, Regulations and previous exams.
We suggest that you attempt as many of the supplied exam-type questions as possible. All of our questions are either from, or based on, previous exams.

If you meet the following conditions you are eligible to register:
- You are currently registered to write the next Professional Practice Exam.
- You have read and accepted the ExPS™ legal and policy statements.
- You have paid the ExPS™ registration fee.

What materials and resources are provided in languages other than English?
In the past ExPS™ provided instant translations in several languages for many of our explanation pages. The demand for these services was low and if you require access to these pages please contact us for details.
When and How can I register for the ON-LINE Services?
You may register with ExPS™ at any time through this web site after you are officially registered to write the PPE exam. The convenience of ON-LINE Services allows you to have internet access for up to four months before the next exam. If you wish to start early (i.e., study for more than four months), please ask about this opportunity when you are registering.
When and Where are the ON-SITE Tutorials and 1-Day Seminars offered?
How can I register for an ON-SITE Tutorial or 1-Day Seminar?
The ON-SITE Tutorials are three hour sessions with a short break in the middle. They are offered during mornings and afternoons (usually on weekends) and during evenings (usually on weekdays) throughout Ontario in facilities conducive to learning. See our Schedule and Dates page which is updated regularly. Locations and maps will be sent via e-mail to those registered. Special rates are available for groups of people within companies or communities - please contact us for more information.
The ON-SITE 1-Day Seminars are full 10-hour day programs with a lunch and two short breaks. They are offered in at least six Ontaio communities (usually on weekends) in facilities conducive to learning. See our Schedule and Dates page which is updated regularly. Locations and maps will be sent via e-mail to those registered. Special rates are available for groups of people within companies or communities - please contact us for more information.
You may register with ExPS™ at any time through this web site after you are officially registered to write the PPE exam. Your options are:
1. You
may register for the ON-LINE Services, or
2. You may register for the ON-LINE Services plus an ON-SITE Tutorial, or
3. You may register for the
ON-LINE Services plus an ON-SITE 1-Day Seminar.
[Note: very few candidates register for both a Tutorial and a 1-Day Seminar]
Please note that due to the nature of ExPS™ materials and services there is no need to concentrate ON-SITE Tutorials in the few weeks before the exam date, and thus the ON-SITE Tutorials are offered throughout the months before each exam.
How do I know that I am registered?
You will be notified by e-mail with a Login ID and Password when the registration conditions are confirmed. This notification will be your receipt. You will receive your strictly confidential Login ID and Password following ExPS™ verification of your identity, eligibility to write the PPE, acceptance of legal and policy statements, and full payment.
What is the minimum number of participants for an ON-SITE Tutorial
or 1-Day Seminar?
The number of participants will vary from 1 to 30 depending on community and date. The determining factors are travel expenses for the leader(s) and facility costs. ExPS™ will attempt to deliver the services in the most cost effective manner. If you have a group within a company or community and require special times or dates - please let us know.
What payment methods does ExPS™ accept?
ExPS™ accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express on a secure web site.
What happens if an ON-SITE Tutorial or 1-Day Seminar is rescheduled
or cancelled?
An ON-SITE Tutorial would be rescheduled due to inclement weather (or other unforseen circumstances) prohibiting the attendance of participants or an Instructor. An alternate date and a guaranteed date may be used. If a suitable date and time are not possible, a full refund will be made.
There are a number of guaranteed ON-SITE Tutorials and 1-Day Seminars offered.
Can I cancel ON-SITE Services and receive a refund?
This may be possible under some circumstances and with some limitations. By offering Tutorials and 1-Day Seminars throughout Ontario, ExPS™ incurs significant travel and accommodation costs, which in many cases cannot be covered if a minimum number of participants is not realized. Generally, if there is sufficient notice given, and, the presentation arrangements are not jeopardized, then a full refund (less credit card and administrative expenses) may be possible.
Can I cancel ON-LINE Services and receive a refund?
ExPS™ tracks every Login to our site including IP addresses, dates, times, and resources accessed. Once you have used the services, cancellation is not possible.
What materials can I download? Can I reproduce these materials?
Many of ExPS™ materials are designed for you to download and print for your personal use and these are identified on the web site. You agree that non-personal use is prohibited. Copying, loaning, sharing, giving, reproducing or the sale of ExPS™ materials in any format, for use by others is not permitted. This is an ethics exam preparation service.
What do I need to buy?
ExPS™ encourages all participants to purchase the recommended textbooks suggested on the provincial engineering web site. We sell both new and used texts, AND, will buy them back from you after the exam (on the condition that the provincial engineering association still requires them). ExPS™ materials refer to these texts for suggested readings and in-depth study. All ON-LINE participants (everyone registered) will have access to extensive information and notes covering all aspects of the exams. ON-SITE participants will receive a package of materials (through the web site) designed for their personal notes and use. Save your money - no need to purchase old exams - ExPS™ probably has more exam questions than you can use.
